Nebraska does not configure a general statewide percentage cap for ordinary private residential rent increases from the authoritative framework reviewed. Section 76-1414 makes rent and the term part of the rental agreement and generally defaults a non-definite covered tenancy to month-to-month except for a weekly roomer. Section 76-1437 supplies 30 days for terminating a month-to-month tenancy and seven days for terminating a week-to-week tenancy, but it is a termination statute rather than a standalone universal rent-increase notice rule. Section 13-331, enacted in 2025, generally bars local governments from imposing rent controls on private property while preserving specified affordable-housing land-use and voluntary contractual programs. Section 76-1439 separately restricts specified retaliatory rent increases. Covered mobile-home park tenants use the distinct § 76-1490 rule requiring at least 60 days' written notice before a rent increase takes effect.
