Правило штата
Maine requires at least 45 days' written notice for a residential rent increase. If an increase is 10% or more—or multiple increases in 12 months reach 10% or more—the landlord must provide at least 75 days' written notice before the increase that reaches that threshold. Rent also may not be increased while the dwelling violates the warranty of habitability, subject to the statute's tenant-caused exception. Municipal rules may add protections.
