Règles d'augmentation de loyer à Richmond, Virginia

Commencez par la règle de l'État vérifiée, puis confirmez les exigences de la ville et du comté avant d'envoyer un avis ou d'utiliser un document généré.

Base de l'État

Virginia does not use one general statewide percentage cap for ordinary private rentals. Through June 30, 2027, Va. Code § 55.1-1204(K) requires certain landlords who own more than four rental dwelling units to give at least 60 days' written notice before the end of the rental term when increasing rent for a subsequent term covered by a renewal option or automatic-renewal provision. Separately, § 55.1-1253(D) provides a 30-day timing rule for a holdover or month-to-month tenancy after a rental agreement ends when the landlord consents to continued occupancy and no new agreement is entered. Beginning July 1, 2027, the § 55.1-1204(K) renewal-increase notice changes to at least 90 days and adds a renewal-decision deadline. Because the applicable rule depends on tenancy structure, landlord unit count, renewal terms, and effective date, Max Rental Tools keeps automated Virginia rent-increase notice timing gated for review.
